The Code Geass franchise is a Japanese science fiction mecha anime series that began with the television series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (2006-2008). The franchise follows the story of Lelouch Lamperouge, an exiled student who obtains a mysterious power called “Geass” and uses it to lead a rebellion against the Holy Britannian Empire. The franchise also includes compilation films, a sequel film (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection, 2019), and several spin-off manga and video games. A new anime series titled Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture is also in production.
