Maremma

In a village in Telangana, India, the festival of the goddess Maremma is tied to a terrifying ritual: every twelve years, a bull is sacrificed, yet each ceremony is followed by disaster. Hoping to break this cycle, the village elders decree that any household whose buffalo gives birth to a male calf within the next hundred days must offer it to the goddess. As the deadline approaches, the villagers face mounting fear, ancient beliefs, and a decisive test of their resolve.
